The traditional classroom is a thing of the past for Year 5 and 6 students. Incorporating a flexible learning environment, the new Junior Learning Complex will help students embrace a more self-paced learning style to enhance individual progress.
The building was officially opened on 6 November by Principal (Andrew Middleton), school captains and Senator, the Hon Concetta Ferravanti-Wells. “It [this building] will no doubt benefit those students at the school today but it will help the generation of future students as well”, she stated.
Year 5 and 6 now have an open learning space where lessons are shared between the three composite classes. “In the world of Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook, my school has seen the need for a school that a building that values reflection, deep thinking, sharing and taking our time to capture our thoughts and connect with each other,” commented one Year 6 student.
